Married and a Mum of two myself, I know how important excellent childcare is to working families. I remember the challenges I faced when I was Cabin Crew before becoming a qualified childminder myself in 2006.
Since my registration with OFSTED, I have been attending further qualification courses to build upon my levels of care. I achieved a 'Good' grade from my first OFSTED inspection and I have been attending further qualification courses since 2006. These include First Aid, Food Hygiene Level 2, Safeguarding Awareness, Behavioural Management and all of the relevant modules to prepare me for the new Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) which I must comply with by September 2008. I'm also in the process of completing my Diploma in Home Based Childcare Level 3 and this will be completed by Summer 2009.
