Confidentiality Policy

As a registered childminder, I understand the need to ensure the privacy and confidence of the parent / carer and child. Information and records are a necessary part of childminding therefore I will;


• Ensure parents / carers understand the requirements for information and records.


• Reassure parents / carers that personal information given will be treated as strictly   confidential.


• Ensure personal information of the children and their families is kept in a secure place, whilst being kept easily accessible.


• Advise parents / carers when information will be shared with them.
Everything discussed with parent/carer or heard from the children will be kept confidential at all times. NOTE if there is a reason for me to be suspicious of any child abuse I will inform the appropriate authorities
